We had earlier heard Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak stating that the white iPhone 4 was in production and the models will be hitting the stores soon. As the confirmation had come from an Apple top guy himself, we were pretty sure that the device might be on its way.
This confirmation had come during the beginning of last month. Now, as if adding to the hope, Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, has tweeted that the device is still on schedule.
That, in fact is good news. Going by Schiller’s tweet, the white iPhone 4 will definitely arrive this Spring. We say its pretty on schedule, because we had a few days ago came across talk that Spring will see the white device making its way to our mist.
Schiller’s tweet came as a response to one of Apple’s fans. He had asked Schiller on Twitter as to how he will be able to buy one of the white handsets. Schiller tweeted his reply this: “The white iPhone will be available this spring (and it is a beauty!).”
Yeah, indeed, we know its going to be a beauty. Following the arrival of the iPad 2 in both white and black hues, last Friday, we were just worried as to why the iPhone 4 didn’t have a white version. Our worries seem to be getting noticed.
Well, Schiller’s tweet mentions Spring, but no exact date has been revealed. However, taking it positively, we guess we should rest assured that there wouldn’t be any further delay.
Meanwhile, grapevine murmurs make us wonder if Apple is looking at a launch next month, when the iOS 5 event get underway. We will get you more on that. Watch this space.
