Call of Duty: Black Ops sets a New Pre-Order World Record before Release Date beating earlier Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops sets a New Pre-Order World Record before Release Date beating earlier Modern Warfare 2

So what is the most anticipated game this holiday season that everyone even remotely attached to the gaming community is talking about? It is no doubt Call of Duty: Black Ops and the pre-order rates are already setting a record as there is still a good four weeks to go for the D-Day. Set to come out on November 9, retail sellers are confirming that pre-order rates are through the roof, surpassing those of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

That does not mean the numbers will dip when it actually comes out. Despite the very high pre-orders expect its sales to go through the roof and into the clouds. Being the third Treyarch developed Call of Duty, following Call of Duty: Big Red One (Released in 2005) and Call of Duty: World at War (released in 2008),Black Ops is not just hotly anticipated but is sure to send other war games running for cover.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is available for pre-order on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and announced by Activision on Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The added perk is of course the 3D compatibility making the visuals all the more breathtaking and the whole experience very real.

So did you already pre-order Black Ops? Planning to pre-order now? Will you be online on November 9?
