It’s not uncommon to see someone focused more on their handheld device rather than whats in front of them. It’s usually a good idea to look where you’re going but many get so invested in what they’re doing, that they could possibly put themselves in danger.
A ten-year-old boy was saved in Italy by an off duty policeman after walking off a railway platform while playing his PSP. The policeman, Alessandro Micalizzi, said he saw the boy and his mother out the corner of his eye. He went on to say the boy was completely lost in his game and wasn’t looking where he was going.
He acted quickly so the boy didn’t touch the rails and just reacted with instinct. The boy was ok and just ended up losing a few tears instead of his life.
