We get our very first look at the Apple iPad 2 and even though it is not in entirety, knowing the much-talked about and speculated screen will do. Latest leaked images of iPad 2 Screen fresh from China have pretty much made it clear that the display will be sleeker and lighter than that of its predecessor. Now it is a matter of just digging in to find out more.
The images of the iPad 2 screen compared with those of the iPad clearly speak of a display that is far superior to the one before. Of course, that is only natural and something that is to be expected, but the big question of whether this will be a “Retina Display” is still unanswered. The iPad 2 screen is apparently 1mm thinner than the current iPad screen and with what seems like anti-reflective coating for better outdoor usage.
This obviously points to a significantly lighter iPad that is set to roll out in the coming months. While the screen resolution is not known yet, maybe people could put these images under a microscope, find out the RGB elements count and compare it to current iPad. Much like what happened with iPhone 4 screen resolution prediction.
So while those with the microscopes can get to that part, we will continue to keep you updated on the iPad 2 news. What is your take on the “Retina Display”? Is it an important factor in your purchase of the iPad 2?
