Google Nexus One smartphone arrives to tell the world it is Number One The wait has finally come to a close. Google has rolled out on to the red carpet its most advanced smartphone,  the Nexus One. Enthusiasts who have been just waiting to see the Nexus One debut can now even pick their model at an online store opened on the occasion of the launch to sell the smartphone directly to consumers. The most anticipated device in recent times comes with an updated version of Android OS. You can now pick one at google.com/phone, for a cool $179 plus a two-year contract from T-Mobile. In case you prefer the phone minus the carrier contract, you can lay your hands on the new Google Nexus One for $529. It is expected that Google might as well bring in new offers to be made available from carriers of the likes of Verizon Wireless and British carrier Vodafone sometime later this year. With the launch now official, this is Google’s chance to take on Apple and beat it too. Dubbed as the best Android ever, the Nexus One has incorporated speech dictation, whereby you can speak and compose e-mail messages. The speech detection technology is also enabled for your Twitter tweets and Facebook posts, so that you can post your mind’s whims just by uttering what is in mind. HTC seems to have done an awesome job, by building the smartphone the way Google wanted it. Touch-screen, fast processor, 5-megapixel camera for video and photos, GPS, stereo Bluetooth  et al make the Nexus One he number one. When are you getting yours? (Via USAToday)
