HP TouchSmart 600 Quad Series Beefed Up with Intel Core i7 Options

For me, the all-in-ones are always better than a customary desktop and especially when you consider the HP 600 Quad series, there is hardly anything to argue. The processors in the previous variants were good enough to make the 600 perform well but, it seems that HP wasn’t itself convinced and hence it has released a beefed up version of the all-in-one.

The 23-inch all-in-one will now be available with 1.6GHz Core i7 720QM or 1.73GHz Core i7 820QM Intel quad-core processor options and the starting price for the unit will be $1,699.

The updated version includes 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1.5TB of HDD and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT230M graphics chipset. The rest of the spec sheet remains unaltered for the 600 which isn’t anything bad at all.

What could be added to the almost ‘complete package’ with Windows Seven on-board is a slot loading Blu-ray drive and a TV Tuner and these two integrations will not make a major difference to the price tag.[via: Engadget]
