In case you are keen on the Android OS then the going is not very smooth off late; especially the last few days. First it is the news of Windows Phones 7 OS and all the hoopla surrounding it and now the news that both HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z are delayed because of few testing issues that are still to be sorted out by Google.
Both HTC’s Desire HD and Desire 7 are facing delays in Europe currently as the latest reports trickling in suggest that Google is yet to sort out some final key issues with the Android handsets. The interesting thing is that the delay in the Europe release is caused by the exact same issue that caused the delay in the launch of original HTC Desire. Both mobiles are yet to pass Google’s Type Approval testing, something that must bother those waiting for Desire HD and desire Z.
With 11 October initially slated as the launch date for Desire Z and 14 October mentioned as a release date for the Desire HD, it does seem that the new date will be around late October. Considering the WinPhon 7 devices will hit the market soon, expect Vodafone to bring out the smartphones as early as possible.
