LG Optimus Black to be Available on T-Mobile UK from March 2011

The LG Optimus Black handset is one among the bunch of smartphones that will be released in the UK this spring. Now, the device has been listed on the T-Mobile UK website.

Those of you who are looking forward to play with the new device can now register your interest in the phone on the carrier’s website.

As you might know, the device is the world’s first handset to come equipped with a Nova display. The phone has been claimed to be “the brightest, clearest and most readable among mobile screens with 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility”.

The device features a 4 inch display that is readable both indoors and outdoors, and is energy efficient as well.

The handset, which runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo OS (upgradeable to Gingerbread), also comes with a 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera on the back, HD video recording, a 2 megapixel front facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, HSPA and GPS.

So far, there hasn’t been any hints regarding the pricing of the T-Mobile Optimus Black, but it is expected that the device will be offered along with a number of data plans. The device is expected to be launched in the coming month.
