Micron is one of the many companies that have been designing the microdisplay panels for manufacturers like 3M and their MPro120. In a recent press release, the company has announced that they will be going into the pico projector industry by creating their own models. To do this, the company announced that they will not create new display chips for other manufacturers, but they will continue production for existing models until they become discontinued. Micron has not released a lot of information about their pico projector, but it will feature FLCoS display technology and should be able to display 10 ANSI lumens and a WVGA (848 x 480) resolution. More information will be released about the pico projector at CES 2010.
