A company called Misa Digital introduces its Digital Guitar that comes with on strings but a touchscreen for you to control sound. The guitar is based on Linux 2.6.31 offering flexibility. It is basically a MIDI control that must be plugged into a MIDI capable sound module.

The Misa Digital Guitar offers MIDI out and has Ethernet port as well as built-in SSH server.
