MWC 2011: Dell unveils 10.1-inch Honeycomb Tablet at Barcelona

MWC 2011: Dell unveils 10.1-inch Honeycomb Tablet at Barcelona

Dell is pretty popular with computers and hardware stuff. They have been around a long time in the business and everyone associates that name with computer peripherals. But Tablets have not flown that easy from the Dell. They might only have a 5-inch and 7-inch tablet in the market today. But after the Mobile World Congress, we will see a 10.1-inch tablet from Dell. And this one is not going to be a push around.

The 10-inch tablet that has been revealed by Dell at the MWC 2011 will be carrying Honeycomb on the inside. Yup, just like the Motorola Xoom , LG Optimus Pad (aka G-Slate) and the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1, even the new tablet from Dell will carry Android 3.0 on the inside. The Honeycomb has been designed specifically for the tablet-platform, while the mobile OS got the gingerbread.

While Dell is busy making waves with the new 10.1-inch tablet, Google is talking about integrating the Gingerbread and Honeycomb OS fronts to create Ice Cream in the future. It will be interesting to see what the price of the Dell Honeycomb 10-inch tab would be. Maybe it could steal some customers from both the Xoom and G-Slate if priced smartly?
