Panasonic introduces its first 3D Blu-ray Disc player, the DMP-BDT350. The new player is equipped with PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus video processor and features 96kHz surround re-master for enhanced video and audio performance. The Panasonic DMP-BDT350 has USB port for adding wireless LAN adapter and direct playback of MP3, JPEG and DivX video. There is also a SD card slot for showing digital still images and AVCHD video. This 3D Blu-ray player is compatible with the VIERA CAST service for online video and media streaming. According to cnet, Panasonic adds two HDMI ports to DMP-BDT350 and the reason for the dual ports is to deal with the fact that 3D Blu-ray requires HDMI 1.4 and all existing AV receivers only support HDMI 1.3. Panasonic’s offering can differentiate itself from other 3D Blu-ray players as it will integrate more easily with existing AV receivers, by sending the high-bandwidth 3D video directly to your HDTV, and the audio to the receiver.
