A few hours ago there were reports that the Samsung Fascinate, Verizon’s variant of the Galaxy S, will be launched on the 9th of September. But now, a spec sheet has revealed that the phone will be released a day earlier. The new information comes from a screen shot of a Verizon document.
From the spec list we also get information about the fact that the Samsung Fascinate will be coming equipped with Blockbuster Mobile, a feature found on the Motorola Droid 2 and Motorola Droid X. With the feature you will be able to download full-length movies on the go.
The device will also come pre-loaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search. The Android 2.1 powered device will be outfitted with the super AMOLED 4 inch touchscreen display and will have the ability to connect up to 5 WiFi enabled devices via 3G mobile hotspots.
It will be running on 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor and will come with a 5MP camera featuring auto-focus and LED flash. The device also features Bluetooth, WiFi, a pre-installed 16 GB microSD card and 2GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card.
The phone can already be pre-ordered at BestBuy with pricing set at $200 for new or upgrade-eligible contracts.
