The Android 2.2 Froyo Update for Galaxy S has been creating quite a bit of stir. Not so much for what it delivers, but more so because every couple of days there seems to be news of it being available and then proving to be false. Well, Samsung Galaxy S customers in UK now need not put up with that as now they know exactly when the Froyo update will be out. Okay, so not the exact date, but official news is that it will be out in UK in the first week of November. How do we know? Twitter, of course!
That is the place where all the official releases are made these days and Samsung UK has informed their customers of a release with the following Tweet:
“The Froyo upgrade will be available in the UK from early November and we expect all operator versions to be available by the end of November”
There you have it. That puts an end to all the speculation as far as all those in UK who are still checking every day for a Froyo update on their Galaxy S are concerned. Now you can check back in the first week of November. Just hope that it is not delayed again and another mess created.
