In addition to the Xperia S for global market and the Xperia ion for the US market, Sony Ericsson is also bringing to Japan market two new Xperia models, the Xperia NX SO-02D and the Xperia arco HD SO-03D, both for NTT DoCoMo.
Basically, the Xperia NX is a variant of Xperia S for the Japanese market, while the Xperia arco HD is the follow-up to the Xperia arco in Japan. Both Android smartphones are boosted by the same 1.5GHz MSM8260 dual-core processor, and feature the same 4.3-inch 1280×720 HD Reality touchscreen display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12 Megapixel Exmor R camera, and 1.3 Megapixel front camera. The Xperia arco HD adds water-resistance, the first in the Xperia line. It also include Japan-specific features including 1Seg mobile TV support, InfraRed and mobile wallet.
The Xperia NX SO-02D will be available in black and white, and the Xperia arco HD SO-03D in aqua, black, sakura and ceramic.
