Do not jump up with joy too much. That is a $30 two-year deal and hence you are not taking home the Optimus for just $30 with nothing added on. But that is not too bad either. In case you are prepared to shell out $30 a month for the next 2 years along with the charges for the data plan that you have chosen, the LG Optimus is probably a very decent choice. Yes, it is no iPhone or one of those fancy Windows Phone 7 handsets, but none of them are coming at $30. So big thumbs up for economy there… At least initially!
The Optimus comes with 3.2-inch HVGA display, 3 megapixel cam and pre-loaded Swype. Its processor should allow you to get on with decent browsing and gaming, while the Android 2.2 on the inside offers for great User Interface. This is not a high-end mobile and hence do not try comparing it to the fancier models that T-Mobile has currently on offer.
But in case you just want a decent Android mobile for a good deal, then this beats the cheap phones by a long distance. Just wait till November 3 for $50 mall-in rebate and the you can take the LG Optimus home in either black or even burgundy. Like what you see?
