Valve, developers of the hit franchise Half-Life, haven’t been saying much lately, but a rumor is going around that is sure to disappoint a lot of fans – apparently, the last installment in the Half-Life 2 Episodes trilogy will not be released this year. It’s not known whether we’ll at least see some media beforehand either, but knowing Valve, they’ll probably keep it all a secret until the last moment.

Some interesting tidbits came out of Motorola's DEXT launch in Singapore today -- CNET Asia had a chance to sit down with Moto's Asia Pacific VP Spiro Nikolakopoulos, who said that the company would launch between 20 to 30 Android phones globally in 2010. Spiro also said that not every phone would make it to every market, so we're guessing the true number will be more like 10 if you count regional variants like the CLIQ and the DEXT as one model. Motorola’s latest Android 2.0 handset, the Motoroi is headed to US shelves in March. So it’s not a Korean exclusive. Head of Motorola Korea, Rick Wolochatiuk, confirmed at the Korean launch that the new handset “will be launched in other markets around the world”. The US was specifically confirmed for a March release.
The Motoroi features a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen and can record 720p video with HDMI output. Onboard is also an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon flash.

Panasonic expands its VIERA LCD HDTV line with its 2010 LCD HDTV lineup. Most of the new models are based on IPS LCD panel offering 178-degree viewing angle and higher moving picture resolution for clear, bright images. Some models will have LED-backlight and some will have integrated universal iPod/iPhone dock.

Samsung announced its 2010 LED HDTV lineup at the CES 2010 including the new 7000, 8000 and 9000 series, all include Samsung’S 3D processor and new “mystic earth” Touch of Color (ToC) design scheme with chrome edging.
Samsung’s LED HDTVs are available in screen sizes ranging from 19-inch to 65-inch and all have LED edge-lighting with local dimming control technology. They have built-in Ethernet connection and are wireless-ready allowing them to access a Samsung’s upgrade Internet@TV platform. Select 9000 series

LEGO had a fairly decent-sized booth at this year’s CES showing off their slightly-delayed LEGO Universe game which will finally be released sometime this year. And sure, playing around in their bricktastic online MMOG was fun, but LEGO, you had me at “Build your own minifig!” And let me say thanks for not strictly enforcing that “One minifig per person” limit.
