Hitachi introduces the new Deskstar 5K4000 internal hard drive and Touro Desk external hard drive, which are the industry’s highest capacity 4TB storage solutions. The former is a 3.5-inch 4TB hard drive with CoolSpin technology, while the latter is an external hard drive housing a 4TB Deskstar 5K4000.   The 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 features a 32MB cache buffer and uses SATA 6Gbps for enhanced power efficiency and performance. With CoolSpin technology and Hitachi’s other power management technologies, the 4TB drive has up to a 28 percent idle power savings over Deskstar
