Other than the new Kindle Fire HD tablets with IPS touchscreen, Amazon also adds to the e-ink-based Kindle line the fifth generation Kindle reader. Called Kindle Paperwhite, Amazon said it is the most advanced e-reader even built. The reader features a new 6-inch 212 ppi Paperwhite display with 62% more pixels and 25% more contrast for sharper and clearer text. The new display also uses a patented built-in front light technology, instead of backlit, that guides light underneath an anti-glare layer and down toward the display so that the light never shines directly towards your

The experiment has just taken off and the Amazon Appstore for Android users is now live. From the look of things there is some early trouble in getting it up and running smoothly, but that is expected. Probably one of the reasons for the Amazon Appstore going down hours after release is the flooding of people who want to download Angry Birds Rio for free! At least, Amazon would want to think so.
Remember that Apple have already raised an objection to the ‘Appstore’ reference from Amazon and believe that it is a trademark infringement. Obviously, we have not heard the last

If you are heading for Amazon to buy a tablet of your choice, let us give you something to think about. The online retailer has put up the 3G-free version of the Dell Streak 7 tablet for pre-order. Among the many choices you have, you may also want to look at this one too, we guess.
The device which has got its WiFi-certification is being offered for a cool $379.99. The Android 2.2 Froyo tablet can be booked now if you are interested. The fact that Amazon has listed the device that has just a while ago passed its WiFi certification procedure comes as welcome surprise.

Okay this is for sure. Verizon will bring to our midst the much delayed HTC Thunderbolt soon. The price you will have to pay for it would be $250 (along with a two-year contract). Now think about this. What if you can save some good dollars when someone else is offering the device for less? We aren’t kidding, folks. Head for Amazon now and you will be able to pick the device for just $180.
That’s $70 less than what you would have paid. Amazon is offering the device for that amount and you can pre-order the Thunderbolt 4G now so that you can get it at your doorstep in the

It’s a high for the Apple iPad 2 these days, but then we do not think other tablets don’t have their chances too. Among the many that are being lined up, word is that Amazon is readying in its labs a new piece that would rival the iPad 2.
Amazon’s new tablet will be Android-powered and could join the fray along side other devices such as the Motorola Xoom, RIM BlackBerry PlayBook and the HP TouchPad. Amazon is already experiencing hard competition from Apple iBooks in the e-book arena.
So, if they really plan to enter the tablet market, we would love to see how things

The Nokia E7 is not a bad phone by any stretch of imagination. In fact, it would make for a great mobile had Nokia not decided to go along with Microsoft and WP7. That and the price tag that is coming along with the outright purchase of the E7, make it a bit hard to sell off of the store shelves. But if you are interested in the E7, then it is now available for pre-order in the Nokia USA Stores and you can expect it to be in your pocket by sometime this April.
The problem with the E7 could be its $679 price, which has shown no signs of coming down since the day we knew about

If that price displayed on Amazon.de is indeed the final price, then remeber that it includes VAT as well. So, for those in the US looking at the price of the LG Optimus Pad aka T-Mobile G-Slate, it will be more in the order of €750 or so. That is a rough approximation and even at that price, it would be worth pondering whether the Optimus Pad delivers enough. This when there are other Android tablets in the market and also the obvious arrival of iPad 2.
Here is what the G-Slate on T-Mobile (for us in the US) brings with it:
• 8.9-inch Touchscreen • 1280×768 Screen
