Following the S1 and S2, Sony is back to the tablet market using the Xperia brand, introducing the Xperia Tablet S. Measuring 9.2mm slim, the tablet has a slim and light alumimum body. Like the S1, has a off-center of gravity design for stability and ease of grip. The new Xperia tablet keeps the IR sensor and doubles as a univeral remote control, allowing users to turn on/off and control their home media devices including HDTV, Blu-ray player and audio system. It comes with a splash proof design and an IPX4 splashproof rating to withstand splashing water at all angles.

AT&T launches the new LG Escape budget-friendly 4G LTE smartphone. At an affordable pricing, the Escape packs a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It features a 4.3-inch qHD IPS LCD touchscreen display and a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with Full HD video recording. It includes LG’s QuickMemo feature that allows users to create and share personalized memos by writing messages or drawings on screen captures.

U.S. Cellular and Samsung announced a new entry-level QWERTY smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Metrix 4G (model SCH-I405U). The Android-based smartphone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for quick and easy text input. It also gets a 4-inch touchscreen Super AMOLED with 800×480 resolution that is big enough for you to enjoy movies on the go.
The Galaxy Metrix 4G is powered by 1GHz processor and is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, instead of the 4.0 or 4.1, with TouchWiz user interface. The handset has a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera and a 1.3 Megapixel

Alongside the RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD, the DROID RAZR M also joins Verizon and Motorola’s DROID lineup. The mid-range smartphone is one of the most compact 4.3-inch LTE 4G smartphone thanks to its super compact design with a edge-to-edge display. Despite being significantly shorter and narrower than the original DROID RAZR, it still managed to pack a same size 4.3-inch display. Sony quietly put its Xperia SL smartphone on its official website. As a minor update to the Xperia S, the upcoming Xperia SL upgrades the 1.5GHz dual-core processor to 1.7GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 dual-core processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Other features are basically the same.

Google officially announced the LG-made Nexus 4, the forth smartphone in the search giant’s Nexus line. The phone also comes loaded with the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It is powered by a Qualcomm SnapDragon S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core processor with Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. However, it is disappointed that the handset doesn’t include support for 4G LTE mobile network.

Samsung announced the new Galaxy S III Mini, the compact version of the company’s flagship Galaxy S III smartphone. Featuring the same design as the original high-end S III, the Mini version is not a smaller-sized flagship, but just a mid-range phone. The handset gets a smaller 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

Sony announced at the IFA 2012 in Germany the Xperia T flagship smartphone which will be featured in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall. Build on the same design language first introduced in Xperia arc and arc S, featuring slim form factor and a stylish design.
