In addition to WiMAX network, Sprint is also joining the party of LTE and the carrier is going to release the LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone. Powered a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, the phone runs Android 2.3. It features a 4-inch WVGA NOVA touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel main camera, and a VGA front-facing camera. The Viper is a Sprint ID smartphone, allowing users to through the clutter of more than 400,000 apps in Android Market by selecting from a variety of mobile ID packs featuring apps, ringers, wallpapers, widgets and more.

Huawei Ascend Y100
Huawei brings the budget-friendly entry-level Ascend Y Series Android smartphones to its Ascend line. The Ascend Y100 gets a 2.8-inch touchscreen while the Ascend Y200 features a bigger 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen. They both pack 3.2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS and WiFi connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD has been unveiled at the AT&T Developer Summit. Not to be confused with the original Galaxy S II Skyrocket, the new HD model features a large 4.65-inch 1280×720 HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display. Heading to AT&T, the Skyrocket HD supports the carrier’s 4G LTE mobile network for high-speed data.

During the CES 2012, Verizon Wireless showed the upcoming LG Spectrum LTE 4G smartphone with a 4.5-inch Ture HD IPS touchscreen with 1280×720 and 329ppi screen density. The new phone supports Verizon’s LTE 4G mobile network and gives users access to the ESPN ScoreCenter application for ScoreCenter stats, images and videos in 720p HD. Its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Samsung is adding to the GALAXY line the new mid-range GALAXY S Advance smartphone. The new phone, as its name tells, is an advanced version of the GALAXY S. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM. It will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. LG announced its new design identity, L-Style, at the MWC 2012 and brings three new L-Style phones including the Optimus L3, L5 and L7. The L7 is the flagship in the L-Style line featuring a 4.3-inch large touchscreen. It is powered by a 1Ghz single-core processor. The L7 measures just 8.7mm thick. Sprint launches the Frost White version of the Samsung Epic 4G Touch Galaxy S II smartphone. The Epic 4G Touch, unlike the original Epic 4G, comes without physical QWERTY keyboard but a large 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus 800×480 touchscreen. Sony Ericsson (going to drop Ericsson) announced at the CES 2012 the new Xperia S, which according to the company is the “first smartphone from the new Xperia NXT series – next generation smartphones from Sony”. As the next flagship of the Xperia lineup, the new phone is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8260 processor with 1GB of RAM.
