The Android-based smartphone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard for quick and easy text input. Virgin Mobile USA, subsidiary of Sprint, is launching a new Android smartphone. Called Galaxy Reverb, the mid-range handset is obviously a member of Samsung’s Galaxy family. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a 1.4Ghz processor.
The Reverb has a 4-inch touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel main camera and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and WiFi connectivity, and has a microSD card slot for up to 64GB of cards. ZTE is launching in China market the U950, a budget-priced quad-core smartphone. At 999 Chinese Yuan (US$160), the U950 packs NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM and 4GB onboard storage. The handset has a 4.3-inch 800×480 touchscreen display, 5 Megapixel main camera with Full HD video recording and a VGA front camera.
The U950 has a 9mm slim body and comes with 2000mAh battery for up to 300 hours of standby. It runs Android 4.0 with ZTE’s custom UI. The phone will be released on 11 November.
