Velocity Micro launches two new Android tablets, the 8-inch Cruz T408 and the 10-inch Cruz T410. Both models run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS instead of tablet-oriented Android 3.0 Honeycomb, though Velocity Micro has added a Honeycomb-like UI. They are powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM and come with 4GB internal storage.
The Cruz T408 has a 8-inch 800×600 capacitive touchscreen and the T410 gets a 10-inch 1024×600 capacitive touchscreen. They support WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and sport a front-facing camera. Velocity Micro’s tablets are pre-loaded

HTC announced the new Explorer affordable Android smartphone for all. The compact phone comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a 3 Megapixel camera. Running Android OS, the Explorer includes HTC Sense UI for intuitive use and Smart Dialer for making phone calls easily.
The HTC Explorer is boosted by a 600MHz processor. It will be available in Metallic Black, Active Black and Metallic Navy in Q4.

HTC announced the new Sensation XL, an update to the original Sensation/Sensation XE, featuring a larger screen and Beats Audio. The new XL sports a 4.7-inch 480×800 capacitive touchscreen and comes with Beats Audio and SRS Surround sound for “ultimate multimedia experience”. The new phone runs Android 2.3 with HTC Sense UI.

Verizon Wireless introduces the Samsung Stratosphere, the first 4G LTE smartphone to has QWERTY keyboard for easy and quick text input. The Stratosphere is an Android 2.3 phone powered by Samsung’s 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. It comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and five-row QWERTY keyboard.

Chinese company Haier announced its HaiPad tablet device for the Chinese market. The 7-inch HaiPad runs Android Froyo with a customized UI. It is powered by FreeScale iMX515 A8 800MHz processor and supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and WCDMA 3G connectivity. The HaiPad, like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, can handle phone calls and text as well.
Haier is selling the HaiPad for 3299 Chinese Yuan (US $511).

MSI launches the WindPad Enjoy 7 Android tablet in Hong Kong. Instead of Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the Enjoy7 runs Android 2.3 OS. The 7-inch tablet sports a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display and two 2 Megapixel cameras for image shooting and video chat.
The Enjoy7 supports Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi connectivity and offers mini HDMI for bringing media playback to a bigger screen. The tablet weighs 395. It is available in Hong Kong for HKD$1798.
