Patriot Memory has announced its new HD media player for the mass market. Dubbed as the Box Office, this portable device will play any of your digital media stored on USB flash drives, external hard drives or on its (optional) 2.5-inch internal HDD/SSD. The device provides up to 1080p video playback and supports Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound. In terms of connectivity ports, it offers three USB 2.0, HDMI 1.3, Composite and an optional 802.11g USB WiFi adapter. Acer certainly looks like it’s going to heat up the cell phone wars, and to emphasize that, it has officially announced the Acer Liquid, Acer’s first Android-powered smartphone. To give you something to drool over, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon processor, making it the first Android-device to use that chip. The freshly announced Logitech G110 gaming keyboard is the followup to the G11 keyboard. This one features customizable red and blue backlighting LEDs, 12 programmable G keys, and three M keys.
It also boasts automatic game detection so that you can create custom profiles for your games, as well as integrated headset support and a USB 2.0 port. No word on pricing or availability for the G110 yet, but we’ll let you know when we know.

Acer looks like they mean business in the cell phone market, having officially announced the Acer Liquid, Acer’s first Android-powered smartphone. TomTom has unveiled a new GPS device today that is aimed at the lower end of the market. The device is called the XL 335S and it will sell for $239.95. Many of TomTom’s offerings sell for much more than that amount.
Despite its entry-level price the navigation device has a slew of features that you expect from TomTom. Things like IQ routes that use real speed measurements to plan the fastest routes on the maps. MapShare is also features allowing users to update the maps as they need to.

MapQuest recently announced a voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation application for the iPhone that will come with a subscription plan. This means an initial $0.99 outlay where you can give it a shot for a couple of weeks, and if you like it that much, you can renew its services monthly for $3.99 or fork out $9.99 for each quarter. This week all the major projector manufacturers are starting to release their end of the year home theater projectors before the major shopping season begins. You may have read a few months ago about the InFocus ScreenPlay SP8602 projector. This model is the latest to join the company’s Screen Play series. Today the company has announced that the SP8602 will officially be released this month. The projector features the best in DLP Dark Chip technology and can display 1300 ANSI lumens, a full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 30000:1 contrast ratio.
