Nokia just like all the other cell phone manufacturers has lost the Smartphone war to Apple and the way to claw back into competition is to design some chic models that can do a lot more than the present day options. It seems Nokia is trying hard and an evidence of the fact is the latest patent application titled-User, Interface Device and Method for a Physically Flexible Device. Nokia is wanting to develop flexible displays since 2008 and with this latest application, the intent is to develop handsets which could use flexibility for purposes better than portability. These

Sprints’ upcoming mobile phone inventory leak few days ago did feature the HTC A9292 with WiMAX onboard and now if a reliable Engadget source is to be trusted, HTC A9292 is the HTC Supersonic. We need to tread carefully as we talk about a ‘potentially’ stunning smartphone so therefore what you read here should be advisably treated as a presumption. As per the source though, ‘Supersonic’ is a mere codename for a device that will run on Android 2.1 and the HTC Sense User Interface. The WiMAX Candybar style Supersonic will come with a 4.3-inch LCD

| That’s right. Apple is holding an event on January 27th to show off what the company is calling their “latest creation.” The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, and will start at 10AM Pacific. Gee, I wonder what they have to show. The splattered paint might be a giveaway as well as the use of the word “creation”. Both suggest that we will be seeing the long-rumored Tablet, and tips on how you can get creative with it.
We will find out soon.

| Nokia’s Symbian UI isn’t the hottest UI on the block at the moment, but you can be sure that Nokia is working hard to sort that out. As you know, Symbian^4 devices should be expected to ship in early 2011, and conceptual interface designs have started to pop up, so if you’re the kind who likes to voice your displeasure, this would probably be your chance (not when it’s finalized and released). The new UI will be built upon Qt and Orbit, which should help Nokia lure developers by making apps easier to build and

| While there isn’t any official confirmation on this issue just word, a rumor originating from Taiwan indicates that Microsoft may be launching Windows Mobile 6.6 this year, possibly at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2010. The code name for this version is supposedly “Maldives”, and Windows Mobile 6.6 should grant you full support for capacitive touchscreen displays, which should strengthen Microsoft’s competitiveness against Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android-based platforms. At the Detroit show, Subaru seems to be winning a million hearts. The car maker has unveiled its Hybrid Tourer Concept, which when made for real would most likely be a sensation on the tarmac. The Subaru pavilion seemed like it had a winged visitor which just landed on to the podium. Complete with gull-wing doors, the Hybrid Tourer might just be a concept for now. But we hope it would definitely get on to the assembly line soon. Significant aspects about the hybrid concept are the range of screens, including one integrated into the steering wheel, and a wide open interior

| Android is literally in everything. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it show up in a teapot next. Anyhow, this GL-750 netbook was spotted at CES 2010 running the Google Android operating system. It comes from Taiwanese PC maker King Yung. You get a 533MHz Freescale iMX31 ARM11-based processor along with 128MB RAM and up to 16GB of flash storage. Aside from Android, you can also get it with Windows CE or a lightweight Linux distro built on a 2.6.x kernel.
They are likely looking for a US distributor. Good luck.
