Sapphire, maker of graphics cards, introduces the new EDGE-HD2 with a simple design. It is powered by Intel Atom D525 1.8GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics with 512MB RAM. The mini PC comes with a 320GB hard drive.
The EDGE-HD2 supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. It offers HDMI output and has four USB 2.0 connectors. The unit measures 19.3(L) X 14.8(W) X 2.2(H) cm and weighs 530g. The EDGE-HD2 is optionally supplied pre-installed with Windows 7 Ultimate edition, or pre-loaded with FREE DOS.

Following the original Aspire One Happy, Acer introduces for the US market its new Aspire One Happy 2 color-inspired stylish netbook, which comes in four colors with unique names – Banana Cream, Blueberry Shake, Papaya Milk, and Strawberry Yogurt. Gigabyte brings to the Computex 2011 its S1080 slate-style tablet PC. The 10.1-inch device is powered by an Intel Atom N550 1.66GHz dual core processor and runs Windows 7. It sports 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics.
The S1080 has a 10.1-inch capacitive multitouch display with 1024×600 resolution and LED-backlit. It supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 as well as 3.5G WWAN network connectivity. The tablet also comes with a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, 1.5Wx2 stereo speakers, and USB 3.0 connector.

Intel launches the Atom Z670 Oak Trail processor which is ideal for creating smaller, thinner, fanless devices for mobile clinical assistants, industrial tablets and portable point-of-sales devices. Running at 1.5GHz clock speed, the Z670 packs the GMA600 integrated graphics supporting 1080p Full HD playback, and SM35 Express chipset. According to Intel, the processor is 60 percent smaller than previous generations with a lower-power design for fanless devices as well as up to all-day battery life.

French company Evigroup launches the SmartPaddle tablet PC as the follow-up to the Paddle Pro. The device sports an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 2GB of memory, integrated graphics and 64GB SSD for storage. It capable of 1080p Full HD video playback and offers mini HDMI output.
The SmartPaddle comes with a 11.6-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam and supports WiFi and 3G connectivity. Running Windows 7, the tablet gets the new Scale 3D user interface. A Microsoft Arc mouse is bundled.

Lenovo and Intel have teamed up to bring out the Classmate+ PC, designed to improve learning for kids, especially in grades K-8. In fact this is a re-badged version of the Classmate PC. The device is equipped with schools-effective, affordable PC technology as part of Intel Learning Series.

Dell fans in the UK can now end their wait for the convertible they were looking forward to own! Come February, and the Dell Inspiron Duo convertible hybrid netbook/tablet will hop on to the Three network in the UK. The tablet powered by Intel’s dual-core 1.5GHz Atom N550, is a Windows 7-based device that doubles up as a tablet or a netbook – whichever way you want it.

Asus is launching a new Atom-powered barebone PC, the S1-AT5NM10E with dual-core Intel Atom D525 1.8Ghz processor and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. The barebone supports up to 4GB of memory with two DDR3 RAM slots and has a 3.5-inch hard drive bay.
