Yea, you read that right -- fifty apps loaded side by side by freaking side on the Pre Plus, and the thing just kept on ticking. The chaps over at Pre Central decided to test out specifically how much of an improvement the doubling of RAM and storage in the new handset delivered, and they were not disappointed. Opening up the same apps on both phones, they found the original Sprint Pre (sporting a mere 256MB of RAM) ran out of puff at the 13 app mark, whereas the Pre Plus soldiered on until a nice round fifty was reached. I’m not quite sure how they do it, but Eye-Fi manages to keep on cramming feature after useful into their wireless memory cards. This time around, they’re introducing a new tier of card (above Pro), the Pro X2. It costs $150, but at least read about what it does before you scoff at the price… The X2 is an 8 gig SDHC card with a built-in 802.11n antenna. N! Ritek USA is back with its new line of CompactFlash cards, the Ridata 600X. Coming in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB sizes, these cards support CIS implementation with 256 bytes of attribute and provide read and write speeds of up to 94MB/s and 92MB/s, respectively. In addition, they also have a MTBF of 1 million hours and feature built-in Error Correction Code (ECC) to detect and correct errors automatically.

| It has been a while since we have seen a new high-end video card come out of NVIDIA. It’s competitor ATI recently launched its new HD 5970 and claimed the title of fastest video card. It seems NVIDIA is ready to fire back in the video card wars with new cards of its own. The new GTX 300 family will include the GTX 380 and GTX 360 video cards. | One of the best things I bought to go along with my wife’s digital camera was the Eye-Fi SD card. She can never remember how to upload pics to Facebook and I end up having to do it for her. Thanks to the Eye-Fi, the uploading is done automatically and I don’t have to bother. | AMD today announced its new Radeon HD 5700 series of graphics cards, the HD 5750 and HD 5770 (pictured above). Coming in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB sizes, these cards provide read and write speeds of up to 80MB/s and 50MB/s, respectively.
