Verizon Wireless is going to release Samsung’s Droid Charge SCH-i520 Android smartphone, which was first revealed back at the CES 2011. The new Samsung-made Droid phone supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network with download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G Mobile Broadband coverage area. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.2 OS with TouchWiz UI, Swype keyboard and Samsung Media Hub content service.

Panasonic introduces two new LUMIX S-series compact digital cameras, the 14.1 Megapixel DMC-S3 and the 12.1 Megapixel DMC-S1. They have a new rounded shaped that fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. The S3 and S1 both have a 28mm wide angle 4x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD display.

Japanese glasses maker Silhouete and Korean conglomerate Samsung have teamed up to develop the world’s lightest 3D glasses that weigh just 28g. The glasses will be showcased at the CES 2011. It features Samsung Wireless Charge Technology, and an automatic ON/Off system.

As CES 2011 is coming, Samsung has just made a pre-CES announcement about its new HMX-Q10 affordable Full HD digital camcorder. The camcorder includes Samsung’s newly developed Switch Grip technology, which ensures that when filming, the LCD screen adapts to how the camcorder body is being held allowing users to maintain perfect control over their video, whether they are left- or right-handed.

Sony Ericsson has uploaded two hands-on videos of the Xperia arc to YouTube, one above the camera and the other about the design and home screen of the arc. As you may know the Xperia arc is Sony Ericsson’s upcoming Android flagship. It has a super slim design and an arc body and comes with a 8.1 Megapixel camera with Exmor R for mobile back-illuminated CMOS sensor for low-light photography and video recording. The phone also packs a 4.1-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI output.

LG introduces the world’s largest Full LED 3D HDTV, the 72-inch LZ9700 powered by the company’s Full LED Technology. With Full LED, the LZ9700 is illuminated by a full panel of LEDs directly behind the screen, producing pictures as colorful as paintings in an art gallery. It can show 2D and 3D images.

LG unveiled at the CES 2011 the HW300T and the HX350T portable LED projecors with built-in ATSC tuner. With the ATSC tuner, the these projectors allows users to watch free HD broadcast signals. The HW300T also include DLNA support and Ethernet LAN port for access to online content.

It appears that the much hailed new processor from Intel, the Sandy Bridge, has encountered a serious kind of problem. The manufacturer has confirmed a problematic bug in the Cougar Point chipset. This in turn has resulted in the delay of the shipment of desktop PCs that use the Sandy Bridge processors.
