Asus seems to being doing its best to increase the battery life on netbooks and notebooks, which is great news for us consumers, yesterday we the Asus laptop with an impressive twelve hour battery life.
Now Asus has added another netbook to their range, the Asus 1005PE which comes with an impressive fourteen hour battery life.
The Asus 1005PE comes with an Intel Atom N450 processor, plus a 10.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1024 x 600, and 1GB of DDR2 RAM as standard with the option to increase this to 2GB.

The ASUS nettop, which had given us a taste of how intelligent such devices can be last month, is now arriving with a luring addition. The ASUS Eee Box EB1501 has now been incorporated with an optional upgrade of a Blu-ray drive. The arrival of a Blu-ray drive is seen by the PC maker as bringing in more popularity for the device.

For a long time only Europeans were able to take advantage of subsidized notebooks and netbooks with wireless carriers. The deals are now common in America as well, though the prices for the machines are typically not all that discounted compared to just buying the netbook outright.

Windows 7 will be rolling out pretty soon, and Onkyo is readying the C405 netbook that will come with the most spartan of specifications including an Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive (now that’s a change compared to the 160GB standard), a 10.1″ display and Wi-Fi connectivity. Expect to see it available in Japan, although we have no idea on the pricing details as at press time.

Acer has announced that its AspireRevo is now available in America. The AspireRevo is a great little nettop that is designed to mount behind a TV or LCD screen making a slick little HTPC machine. The little nettop sells for $329.99.
For the money, you get some nice specs including graphics via NVIDIA Ion. That means that the nettop can support full 1080p HD video and play casual 3D games. The machine uses the Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor.
