Fujitsu expands its Lifebook family with the new Floral Kiss brand of notebook PCs targeted at female users, and the CH55/J Ultrabook is the first model to be released under Floral Kiss brand. Intended to be elegant, the Floral Kiss laptop has a pearl-like power button, and its power status LED and Caps Lock key decorated with diamond-cut stone. The transparent keyboard features keys framed by gold ring, and the outtake and intake vents all feature a floral motif design. Its flip latch can easily open the display—even by users with long fingernails.

HP announced the Folio 13, its first business Ultrabook with a thin and light design. According to HP, the new laptop offers up to 9 hours of battery life, the highest performance available among Ultrabook devices currently on the market. Toshiba announced the Portege Z830 series, its first Ultrabook powered by 2nd gen Intel Core processors. The new Ultrabook is just 0.63-inch (15.9mm) thick and weighs less than 2.5 pounds, making it about 20 percent lighter and 40 percent thinner than the ultraportable Portégé R830 Series.
