Last month, Verizon Wireless had announced that the BlackBerry Curve 9330 would be available for purchase in the coming weeks. The device is now available in the Verizon online store in fuchsia color.
The Curve 9330, which ships with BlackBerry 5.0 operating system (but will soon be getting OS 6), is having a price tag of $364.99 for full retail or $29.99 after discounts with a 2-year contract.

Leaked information on two new Palm phones and WebOS 2.0 is circulating the web. Ever since HP bought Palm, it was not certain if new Palm webOS phones will ever be released. Now Palm fans can be happy about the new rumors.

Ricoh has announced the G700SE digital camera which is the successor to the previously released Ricoh G700. The camera, which is designed for specific markets like governments and police departments, will be coming with GPS functions.
The camera is an upgraded version of the G700 and the device features wireless LAN support as well as Bluetooth 2.1. There will be optional extra features such as GPS and laser bar code reading.

Nikon has introduced the D7000 digital SLR camera which will be creating a new class of Nikon camera by providing exceptional quality, control and innovative features. The camera wedges itself between the highly popular D90 and power packed D300.
The D7000 comes equipped with a new 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, with low-light ability, and Nikon’s new EXPEED 2 image processing system for enhanced performance. EXPEED 2 will also manage the camera’s speedy 50-millisecond shutter response, blazing AF speed and rapid six fps burst speed for up to 100 images.

If you haven’t heard as yet, here goes. Canon’s EOS-1D Mark IV and EOS Rebel T2i/550D digital SLR cameras have been provided firmware updates. The move comes close on the heels of reports that there existed a bug in the move mode of the cams. Canon has called it Firmware v1.0.8 and has been updated in both the SLRs.

We are also told that the firmware update isn’t just to correct the bug in the movie mode. It has been found that the language menus in French and Spanish had some spelling errors. Canon hopes to correct the errors with the same firmware

Canon has introduced three new Powershot Digital cameras: the S95, the SD4500 IS and SX130 IS. The Canon S95 digital camera, which is based upon Canon’s Hybrid IS technology, is an update to last year’s S90. It comes with Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processing, a 10-megapixel high-sensitivity CCD sensor, and 28 mm wide f/2.0 lens with Optical image stabilization.

In addition to SL630, HZ35W and HZ30W, Samsung unveils also the ultra slim TL110 and TL105 digital cameras. The former is a 14.2 Megapixel camera with 5x optical zoom and 27mm wide-angle while the latter is a 12.2 Megapixel camera with 4x optical zoom and 27.5mm wide-angle. They both have 2.7-inch LCD display.
The TL110 features also dual image stabilization and the TL105 includes digital image stabilization. They offer special image effects such as Fisheye and Lomo, and a long list of user-selectable Photo Styles. Videos are record at 720p resolution at 30fps.

Samsung announced in the US market the new SL630 (aka PL80) point-and-shoot digital camera. Like its little brother SL600, the SL630 features 12.2 Megapixel image sensor, 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle, and a 2.7-inch LCD display.
The SL630 includes Samsung’s optical and digital Dual Image Stabilization, Smart Auto mode, Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Detection, Beauty Shot, and Red Eye Fix mode. It can record 640×480 video at 30fps. Samsung’s SL630 will be available in March 2010.

When you get rid of the strings, is it really still a guitar? We’ll leave that to the philosophers. In the meantime, take a look at just such a specimen. The Misa Digital Guitar is great looking, but somehow we don’t think it will catch on.
Then again I’m no musician. Maybe it will revolutionize music. The Misa is really just a MIDI controller that you can interface with software on your PC and you can use said software on your PC and use a normal guitar. Whatever you like.

Amazon is looking to further tighten its stranglehold on the eBook market with its latest announcement of a 70 percent royalty option for its Kindle Digital Text Platform. This would mean that authors would stand to get a significant amount of the profits, though there are some conditions. The books much be priced between $2.99 and $9.99, and the list price must be at least 20 percent below the price of the physical book list price. The title must also be available in all geographies the publisher has rights for, and this only covers books
