While most iPhone docks do come with built-in recharging capability, the Dexim P-Flip goes one up as it doubles up as a 2,000mAh battery for those who are always on the go and need enough juice for their iPhones to keep in touch with contacts throughout a busy day. The P-Flip will retail for $55 each. Any takers?

The P-Flip is a foldable power dock available in five different colors. For $55, it acts as both a backup battery and a dock for your iPhone or iPod touch. The backup battery has a 2000-mAh capacity, which should give you about two full charges.
So it should add about 8 hours of talk, 15 hours of gaming, or 80 hours of music. This should help you stay juiced up and get the most out of your iPhone or iPod touch.

Pioneer is dipping their toe in what I’d would deem very murky and saturated waters. Today, they announced the introduction of their iPod compatible speaker systems, the XW-NAS3 and XW-NAS5. Both units features 2.1 channel sound (includes a downward firing subwoofer), Bluetooth A2DP stereo support (adapter required), a hidden display behind the grill and 60 watts of power. The higher end NAS5 takes it a step further and includes an FM radio and plays some sort of ambient sound, at least according to iPodnn. Both units also features video outputs.

The new LG FB44 iPod docking station has been unveiled during IFA 2009. The iPod dock produces a total output power of 40-watts, which is more than enough for listening to music in a small room. The gadget also supports DVD playback with a 1080p upscaling and a HDMI port, so you can connect the LG FB44 to your HDTV. In addition, it also has a USB port for direct playback from the USB Flash drive. Sadly, there is no further info about the pricing or availability so far. [AVING via iPod and MP3 Players]

Wow. We are really seeing some actual cool iPod docks this week. Yamaha’s latest are amazing looking. It’s not just looks either, it’s made with metal, not plastic and apparently that doesn’t hurt the audio quality very much. In fact it is said to have a very rich sound and the “highs aren’t tinny like most—and there’s some nice bass response”.
What strikes us most about the MCR-140 is the awesome retro look, but some other features include: a wireless transmitter that attaches to the bottom of your iPod and streams music using

The iPhone’s display is capable of switching automatically from portrait to landscape mode when you rotate it. So you should have a dock that allows you to view it either way. Sadly most docks are oriented for the vertical portrait mode.
Not this one made by Steven Combs. Steven can go both ways. Rather, his iPhone can. This dock lets him rotate his iPhone and better still, it’s made from gray, black, and white Legos. Instead of buying an expensive rotating dock, why not just do what Steve did?

The new LG FB44 iPod docking station was unveiled during IFA 2009 and it’s a sexy little unit. The iPod dock provides a total output of 40-watts. That should be plenty for listening to all of your music in an average sized room.
The device also supports DVD playback with 1080p upscaling and they’ve thrown in a HDMI port, so you can connect the LG FB44 to your HDTV. The LG FB44 also has a USB port for direct playback from USB Flash drives. We don’t have any info on pricing or availability just yet.

The Diva Lamp not only lights up your bedside or working desk with ample light, it also comes with an iPod dock to keep you entertained with your favorite range of songs, while doubling up as an iPod charger simultaneously. In fact, the Diva Lamp will also play nice with all standard 30 pin compatible players. Available in black, white or anodized black colors, it will retail for a whopping $593. Guess we’ll pass, especially in these economically challenging times.
