| Bummer, it seems that the financial problems EA has been facing will be taking a toll on the game servers, and as such, the company will be killing off a bunch of game servers on 3 separate dates over the next few months. While it isn’t so bad that they shut down older games like FIFA 07, but what about more recent games like Madden 09? It might be a nice and convenient way to get users to (pay and) upgrade to the latest version, but honestly speaking, would you want to continue and buy recent games when you

| It’s obvious that Microsoft (with its Bing search engine) has been busy trying to mount a serious challenge against Google’s dominance in the search business. Unfortunately it ran into a tiny pothole on Thursday evening when the Bing.com website went down, resulting in a browser error message when users went to the site. Microsoft has since acknowledged the issue on Twitter, and has confirmed that it’s looking into the matter. Do you recall when Google’s main site was down?

| The economy is bad and that might make you think that companies in markets like computers that are seeing some of the worst quarters ever would be saving money. Not HP, the world’s largest computer shipper is spending a huge amount of money to purchase 3Com. HP has announced that its board of directors and the 3Com board of directors have both agreed to allow HP to buy 3Com at $7.90 per share for all outstanding shares of 3Com stock. IFixit reports that the screen is made for Apple by LG. The iMac has an input that will allow you to play your Blu-ray through the iMac, but the machine does not ship with the adapter needed for connection. The machine has an upgradable RAM slot and

| It looks like Verizon has begun its attack on Apple’s iPhone, with leaked information pointing that Verizon is planning an upcoming ad series cheekily nicknamed “iDoesn’t”, specifically targeting things that the “iDevice” doesn’t do. When it comes to mudslinging, we’re fairly sure that businesses are fairly good at putting the competition down, so it’s no surprise to see the list of things that the iPhone doesn’t do (pictured above). What do you think?

| The Apple store is closed, which *usually* means that there's a new product update. Of course, it could just be a technical upgrade, but that would most likely happen at night or something. Anyway, it is much more exciting to think that new iMacs or Mac minis are going to appear. Stay tuned. Update: the store is back and we don't see anything new... false alert.

| Sweden's .se sites were down for about one hour yesterday evening when a buggy update script was used. The exact reason is still being investigated, but it basically shows that the domain name resolution and the routing system are the weak point of the internet. Domain name serving fixes can take a while to propagate, and hours after the fix, many users were still unable to access their favorite sites.

This apartment is on the 36th floor and the owner wants to have amazing video and audio with out destroying his amazing view. To meet this need, the owner hired Henry Daas of Flatiron AV and Computers. The main goal was to create a home theater that wouldn’t block any of the existing windows. Daas decided to hide all the components into the ceiling of the apartment. The 92” projection screen was motorized and could easy be
