You have been hoping that your Verizon Motorola Droid X to good satisfaction, we know. But you have always wanted your device to have a higher version of Android OS, right? Motorola is now answering your prayers – we get to gather that the device will get Android 2.3 Gingerbread update in a couple of days.
The grapevine has it that the device will get the Gingerbread update by midnight, this Sunday. Speculations are that the update will be first offered to business clients, while all other users will get it before the end of the next week.

Droid X members of the Motorola Feedback Network, are lucky to be part of a test group that will be getting the an early update to Android 2.2.1. And that will happen today.
If everything is smooth and the upgrade goes well (the update information has already been available since yesterday), everyone should be getting it in the next couple of days, meaning that your Droid X will be brought up to system version 2.3.340 — no that’s not Gingerbread if you were wondering.

So is Google Instant finally ready to make its way onto the Android Mobile platform? Going by the latest reports from Android users across the US, the Google Instant is indeed available to Android handset users in Beta form. Generally, Droid X Froyo update would have been considered great news for the Android version 2.2 admirers, but given the stance of those who’ve run Froyo on Droid X, the opposite seems to be the case. You must already know that the UK version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be released on November 1st. Now, a new rumor is suggesting that the Verizon version of the tablet is also set to be launched on November 1st.
Earlier, we had seen the rumor that Sprint was planning a November 16th launch date for the device and a T-Mobile leak confirmed that the carrier will be selling the tablet for $399 on a carrier contract.
There is a possibility that the new information on the Verizon release date is correct since an early November release seems spot on if the carrier wants the device

Motorola has introduced the Droid Pro smartphone and it will be arriving at the Verizon stores sometime in the next few weeks. The Android-based device, which is said to be optimized for business use, is aimed at the BlackBerry market.
The Droid Pro will be an excellent addition to Android handset lineup of the Verizon Wireless. It will fit in nicely in between the Motorola Droid X and the Droid 2 and will offer some extra enterprise features the other two handsets lack.
The Droid Pro will be coming equipped with a portrait QWERTY keyboard placed below a 3.1-inch touchscreen.

The guys over at DroidLife have gotten the official word about the arrival of the Android 2.2 update on the Verizon DROID X. The update is due on September 22, 2010, at 12:00 PM ET. This is in line with Motorola’s promise to deliver Android 2.2 on the DROID X in summer, considering that tomorrow is the last day of summer.
