It’s been quite a while since we last heard about a possible rejuvenation therapy that was being administered on Samsung’s Sidekick. The Android-powered handset, riding the T-Mobile airwaves, just got a new life with some upgrade to redefined 4G speeds.
The re-born device now comes with stylish looks, an awesomely designed keyboard, redefined messaging options and upgraded 4G. The official announcement of the rebirth as a 4G device has come about finally, though we knew this was on its way. Expect the retail roll out this Spring.

Hope you remember reading about the HTC Incredible S that had first reared its head at Barcelona when MWC 2011 was underway. The latest on that front is that a handful of exclusive images of the device have surfaced. This gives us the hint that the device might hit the stores soon.
We expect the handset before the Q1 of this year-end. Actually, when HTC unveiled the phone at the Mobile World Congress last month, the manufacturers had stated that they were planning for a release during the second quarter. The device had also passed through FCC recently.

The CES event this year had been witness to LG’s Revolution smartphone being showcased. We had in fact done some essential eavesdropping at LG’s plans for the handset, and had brought to your midst all that we could manage to find out then. The handset has since then been much sought after, though a release date seemed not forthcoming.
The latest we get to know is that the Android 2.2 smartphone that is headed for Verizon has knocked on the FCC door under the LG VS910 name.
As per FCC detailing, the phone also carried info about its support for Verizon’s CDMA/EVDO 850,

If you are among those people who had been following the CES 2011, you might be familiar with the Samsung device showcased then. Termed the Samsung SCH-i510 then, the device has made an appearance again under the Samsung Stealth branding.
Stumbled upon in the wild, the Verizon Samsung Stealth details reveal that the name has been cleared by the FCC. Pictures found along with the really little info, make think this is one device that will bring Samsung much ahead of rivals.
Likely to be rolled out during the middle of April, the date seems to bring to rest speculations that the

Samsung has a funny way of doing things. Funny if you are not a Samsung Android Smartphone user. And if you are one, then you can call it frustrating, annoying or irritating depending on your own experience. There are a lot of things that Samsung has going on for itself, but Android updates is not one of them. It seems they somehow find a way to make people wait. But, this is not about waiting, it is about a leaked update that is out early!
While Samsung is still trying hard to give people on its handsets Froyo updates (the news of which we are keeping a track of on a daily

All you European folks who have been waiting impatiently to get your hands on the ‘world’s first’ dual-core smartphone can now look forward to a release date. The LG Optimus 2X will arrive in your palm this month (March) itself.
We don’t need to tell you again as to the amount of interest the device had generated when it was first showcased at the CES in January. The phone running Android 2.2 Froyo and a promised Android 2.3 Gingerbread upgrade later on, is something the world has talking a lot about.
The device is currently available in the Korean market. Germany

Though it is all Gingerbread and Honeycomb stuff these days, here is a cute Froyo device getting official. The HTC Merge, which we had listed long back as one of the most expected devices, will be available this Spring.
Running on the Android 2.2 Froyo platform, HTC Merge offers you a 3.8 inch touch screen display and a slide out QWERTY keypad. The 5MP cam on the rear comes with auto focus and assistance flash. It can record videos at 720p HD.
HTC Merge is the first CDMA world phone that runs on an Android platform. As with other HTC devices, it comes with the unique HTC Sense

Ask the guy at the T-Mobile store or the folk at Samsung and they will tell you that a Gingerbread update is just ‘round the corner’ for your device. And the guys never lie; it is always just round the corner. The tiny little problem with that is that the promised corner never seems to be coming. Either that or we and Samsung have different ‘corners’ in mind!
Kind of hard to really keep people happy when you do not offer the promised updates on promised time. So, in case you are going to take T-Mobile’s offer on the Samsung 4G, then expect to get stuck on Froyo for a
