Right before announcement of Galaxy Note 2, Samsung introduces another big-screen smart device, its new Galaxy Player 5.8. You can call it a big-sized portable media player or a small tablet. Looks like a over-sized Galaxy S III, the new player comes with a huge 5.8-inch touchscreen with 960×540 resolution for users to enjoy movies and videos on the go. You can also find twin speaker grills on the front.
The Galaxy Player 5.8 has 16GB and 32GB internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC expansion up to 32GB. It supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n as well as GPS and DLNA

Samsung introduces its new Galaxy S WiFi 4.2, an Android media player intended to deliver powerful gaming on the go, joining the Galaxy S WiFi 3.6, 4.0 and 5.0 players. The new 4.2-inch PMP is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. It features the SoundAlive audio system for enhanced gaming experience. It comes pre-loaded with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit game.

Samsung is going to release in the US market its Galaxy Player 4 and Galaxy Player 5 Android-powered portable media players. Unveiled at the MWC 2011, the 4-inch and 5-inch Galaxy Players run Android 2.2 (upgradeable to Gingerbread 2.3) with Adobe Flash 10.1. They have a similar design as the company’s Galaxy S smartphone.

Remember Samsung’s Galaxy player 50 YP-G50 Android-powered portable media player? After the break you can find Samsung’s promotion video of the player. As you may know, the Galaxy player is basically a Galaxy S phone sans the phone function.
