The iPad 2 hype is still riding high and other tablets are not willing to give up so easily. Samsung has been at the forefront of the battle and they have been projecting the qualities of the Galaxy Tab so as to push up sales. The UK scene is now seeing a battle ready Samsung trying score some brownie points with their Galaxy Tab even as the customers are gearing up to pick the iPad 2 with an imminent release nearing.
Retailer Asda has put up the Samsung Galaxy Tab for sale and the deal comes for £299. That’s a good price we must say. The Galaxy Tab of course had been

Images of Samsung’s latest 8.9-inch tablet along with a revamped 10.1-inch model have just hit the net along with detailed spec sheet. IT seems like Samsung has taken on the thinness challenge thrown down by Apple pretty seriously and is offering two tablets that are thinner than Apple iPad 2. Samsung is so smitten about shedding weight that they are offering both the 8.9-inch and the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab models at just 0.33mm thickness.
We all remember that iPad 2 was 0.34mm in thickness and that means Samsung has just got on a level playing field in this department with

If you dole out an offer to iPad 2 customers, you need to do it to customers of other tablets too. That seems the sentiment amongst Verizon tablet customers. The carrier, after offering an activation fee waiver to Apple iPad 2 buyers on the network, has now decided listen to customers and has done away with the $35 fee slapped on customers signing up for a data plan on Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
That is not all. The carrier will issue a $35 credit on March’s bill to buyers who have already paid the activation fee after March 1. Customers now will need to sign

The Apple iPad 2 hype might be at its zenith, but Samsung isn’t willing to budge. Even as iFans are queuing up to get hold of the Apple device as it gets set to roll out of retail outlets and the Apple stores, Samsung has decided to go on a campaigning spree for their original Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Samsung’s array of devices – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab and the original Galaxy Tab are no doubt machines that lure.
The original Galaxy Tab is still in the race to topple all tablets that have arrived ever since it went on sale. The company knows that

Instead of improving on the pretty popular Samsung Galaxy Tab (Yeah, the 7-inch one) and probably offering updates on time without pushing dates back one month after another, Samsung is now trying hard to make an 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab. So, they have one in the 7-inch range, one in 10-inch and now another one is going to come out in the 9-inch range. Seems like Samsung is trying hard, too hard, to beat Apple by covering every inch between seven and eleven!
That seems a bit of an odd move and to be honest, it looks like they are just trying to tick off every size in the range. Of

The news coming in from the material supply end of the tablet market is probably more interesting and definitely more important than the final sales end. Sure, the iPad has enjoyed unparallel success in the tablet arena and Apple design and product marketing are an essential part of it. But also long-term planning from the company’s top men is also a very vital part of it. Now that Apple is holding such a large share in the tablet market, is it trying to hold on by creating a touch panel shortage for competition?

The company has announced that the much anticipated tablet will be launched in Europe along side it’s 3G and WiFi cousin in the second quarter of this year. And we got a chance to go hands-on.
