When it comes to Nokia, Ovi Maps have played quite a major role in their actions for the past few weeks, since they gave it away for free – and it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone that a hardware manufacturer is showing interest in using the turn-by-turn navigation in cars.

If your car has an Alpine car system with either a dashboard or speakers, then you should be able to connect your Nokia phone through Bluetooth or USB directly, and navigation will be displayed by Ovi Maps on your dashboard.

The GoBandit HD GPS camcorder offers 720p HD video recording capability, is waterproof and comes with a lens that rotates. It also has built-in GPS which shows your current and maximum speed as well as altitude on a 3D map. Pretty neat.

If you like you can attach it to a helmet, goggles or other equipment. It weighs just 145 grams. Great for those with an active lifestye. The GoBandit HD GPS camcorder will retail for about $400 when it becomes available.

Seems expensive, but you get a lot in a small package.

The Zanier Xplore.XGX gloves must be one of the finest examples of stuff you don't need, but would probably dearly love to have. With an embedded GPS tracking unit and a monochrome screen, these multifunctional finger warmers will guide you to and from the lodge, but the real fun kicks off when you hit the piste. Altitude, speed, duration and distance of your slaloms can all be recorded and then downloaded to your computer before being uploaded to the web. Is there anything more an exercise enthusiast (or an unashamed poser) needs? You get a Gore-Tex finish for

If you haven't freaked out and given up on MiFi after they were shown to be, well, a little bit vulnerable, good for you, because there's good things in store. Novatel is working on a new revision of its routers with integrated GPS, USB charging, and what's pledged to be better battery life. Perhaps most interesting among the revisions is firmware able to run Linux "apps" that display content within the MiFi's admin webpage. Current apps are things like data usage and weather but the possibilities are endless -- or slightly broader than weather and usage, at least. It's

Windows Phone what? Dell Mini who? Forget all that fancy nonsense, this is a proper mobile device. Running Windows Mobile 6.1, the AIS ultra-rugged PDA comes with a 3.7-inch QVGA (that's a whopping 240 x 320 resolution, folks!) screen, a Marvell chip that might have been around when the wheel was invented, and the surprisingly robust WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G connectivity combo. Sidetalking has never looked this badass... or involved so many rubberized components.

Sagem Wireless is all ready with its new active smartphone, and has curiously named it Puma. Complete with the logo of a leaping Puma wild cat, the smartphone brings with it a handful of expectations as to what the device would be worth. As has been the case with the ever popular Puma footwear and clothing line, the active smartphone too comes with the same amount of brand excitement. And, to say the least, the images that have been released make it a luring piece of gadget one would wish to own.

Sagem Wireless has, in fact,
