Audio Technica announced its Solid Bass ATH-WS50 closed type headphones that features the company’s newly developed Double air chamber mechanism for better and deeper bass. The ATH-WS50 has 40mm sound drives and delivers 10-24,000Hz frequency response, 500mW max output and 40ohm impedance.
The Solid Bass ATH-WS50 has a 1.2mm cable and a gold-plate 3.5mm connector. It comes in black and white and costs 8400 Yen.

Ultrasone has unveiled its new Edition 8 Palladium Edition headphones that adopts S-Logic Plus technology, which delivers a spacious sound. While, the outer earcups are adorned with tarnish-free, real palladium, not just a palladium-like or silver-colored finish, and they are embossed with a high-tech ceramic inlay. Each Edition 8 headphone is individually stamped with its own serial number and comes in a leather bag for storage and transportation. These handmade headphones produce a frequency range of 6 – 42000Hz, an impedance of 30-Ohm and a sound pressure level of 96db.

I am a fan of headphones that sound good for watching movies and playing games on my PC. Good sound is also nice for the few occasions when I want to listen to some music. I am far from an audiophile though and stick to reasonably priced headphones.

Jaybird introduces the SB1 Sportsband Bluetooth overhead headphones that features an aluminum size adjusters that offers “4-way adjustability” for fitting users’ unique head and ear coutures.
The Jaybird SB1 supports Bluetooth 2.0+EDR with A2DP, Handsfree, Headset profiles and 10 meters of range. The headphones has four music/phone call control button and integrated 4mm omni-directional microphone. It lacks noise-isolation, however.

JVC-Victor launches the new HP-FX700 wooden in-ear headphones that serves as the follow-up to the HP-FX500. The earphones feature 6Hz-26,000Hz frequency response, 104 dB/1 mW output and 16ohm impedance.
The HP-FX700 has a 24k gold-plated 3.5mm connector. It comes with five pairs of ear tips. The wooden earphones will be released in February 2010.

Audio-Technica announced its new ATH-ANC1 compact on-ear headphones with the QuietPoint active noise-canceling technology, which block out up to 85% of outside noise. The ATH-ANC1’s active noise-canceling circuitry is located in an external module attached to its connecting cord, for lightweight on-ear wear.
Like ATH-ANC7b, another QuietPoint headphones, the ATH-ANC1 detects environmental noise using miniature built-in microphones, and applies a corresponding sound-canceling signal. It works even without batteries or when the noise-canceling feature is turned off. The

There are lots of portable devices like phones and MP3 players that feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. The iPhone and iPod touch are two notable devices with 3.5mm jacks. Headphones that connect to computers have 3.5mm jacks as well.

Based on the Audio-Technica ATH-A50, these stereo headphones features a gold aluminum facing and a travel pouch made of Smith’s suiting fabric.
