Hitachi brings its new CP-AW252WN ultra short-throw 3LCD projector to the US market. The full-featured, network-capable projector uses 3LCD display technology and features 1280×800 WXGA resolution, 4000:1 contrast ratio, and 2500 ANSI lumens brightness. It is able to produce a 100-inch image at just 15.4 inches from the front of the projector.

Hitachi expands its Travelstar Z-series with the new Z7K500, the industry’s first 7,200 RPM, 7mm z-height, One-Disk, 500GB mobile hard drive. The new drive is also the industry’s first 2.5-inch with SATA III 6Gbps interface and a 32MB cache. The 500GB per platter, one-disk models are designed as a direct replacement for standard 9.5mm HDDs, for use in notebook PCs, external storage and gaming consoles as well as new slimmer device designs.

Hitachi announced shipping of the new Ultrastar SSD400S.B series solid state drive, which is the industry’s first to use 25-nanometer (nm) SLC (single-level cell) NAND flash. The 2.5-inch SSD400S.B uses 6Gb/s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface to deliver high performance, and is available in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities. Using SLC flash, the SSD offers up to 5x higher endurance than MLC-based SSDs.

Hitachi is now shipping its new Ultrastar C10K900 family enterprise hard drive, wich is the highest performance, most power efficient 10K HDD for tier 1 enterprise networked storage arrays, blades and other rack-mounted servers, according to the company. The new 2.5-inch drives run at 10,000RPM and feature SAS 6Gbps interface for reliable data throughput. They has 64MB cache memory for optimized read/write response time.

Hitachi introduces the new Deskstar 5K4000 internal hard drive and Touro Desk external hard drive, which are the industry’s highest capacity 4TB storage solutions. The former is a 3.5-inch 4TB hard drive with CoolSpin technology, while the latter is an external hard drive housing a 4TB Deskstar 5K4000.
The 4TB Deskstar 5K4000 features a 32MB cache buffer and uses SATA 6Gbps for enhanced power efficiency and performance. With CoolSpin technology and Hitachi’s other power management technologies, the 4TB drive has up to a 28 percent idle power savings over Deskstar

Hitachi announced its line of 1TB per platter hard drives, the Deskstar 7K1000.D, Deskstar 5K1000.B and the CinemaStar 7K1000.D, CinemaStar 5K1000.B, offering 1TB capacity on a single disk.
The Deskstar drives are designed for desktop computers, external storage devices and desktop RAID systems. The 7K1000.D uses Hitachi’s 7200RPM platform and 6Gb/second Serial ATA interface. Hitachi announced its Ultrastar SSD400M SSD that, according to the company, is the most advanced Enterprise MLC SSD in the industry. Hitachi’s new SSD is based on Intel’s 23nm highest endurance Enterprise-grade, MLC NAND Flash to deliver outstanding performance. The 2.5-inch SSD uses 6Gb SAS interface and is available in 200GB and 400GB capacities.

Hitachi introduces its Touro Pro series external storage and backup solutions that utilizes the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface. The Touro Pro drives come with 3GB online storage space for free for users to bring their files to the cloud, offering a “two levels of protection” of your data.
The Touro Pro is available in Mobile and Desk models. The Touro Mobile Pro is available in 500GB and 750GB while the Touro Desk Pro comes in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB. based on 7200RPM hard drives, they USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface and are USB-powered.

Hitachi announced in Japan two new Super Short Focus projectors, the CP-A300NJ and CP-AW250NJ that are the world’s lightest and smallest. Based on 3LCD display technology, these short-throw projectors can produce a 80-inch image in just 23cm distance from the screen. The CP-A300NJ features XGA 1024×768 resolution and 3,000 lumens brightness while the CP-AW250NJ offers WXGA 1280×800 and 2500 lumens.

Hitach Global Storage has announced two new hard drive families, the 3.5-inch CinemaStar 5K2000 series and the 2.5-inch CinemaStar C5K750 series, both optimized for nd fine-tuned for the audio/video (A/V) market, such as digital video recorder (DVR), IPTV set-top-box (STB), video surveillance and emerging hard drive-embedded TV markets.
