HP updates its TouchSmart tx2 multitouch convertible tablet PC by adding the same touch-enabled applications that the new TouchSmart 300 and 600 get. The tx2 includes also exclusive touch-enabled games and Corel Painter Sketch Pad for creating digital art.

The HP Mini 311 will most likely receive a boost in the near future when Windows 7 is available, where one is able to choose from Windows 7 Starter, Basic, Premium and Professional. Apart from that, one can also expect the Mini 311 to be a decent mobile entertainer with full NVIDIA ION support, accompanied by up to 3GB RAM and a choice between 250GB/320GB hard drives or an 80GB SSD. In today's barrage of announcements from HP, we found a big 42" LCD touch display that supports a 1080p resolution and is built to be on 24/7. The monitor can work in horizontal or vertical position. Now it would be interesting to see a few installations in the real world.

With the launch of Windows 7, HP has decided to upgrade the software suite that comes with the multi-touch tablet TouchSmart Tx2. That includes Netflix, Hulu, Twitter and some HP-made applications. The tablet uses a capacitive screen, a technology which is generally considered by users as "nicer to use". On the hardware front, this Tx2 is very similar the previous model and starts at $800.

The TouchSmart 300 ($899) and 600 ($1049) powered by Windows 7 have just been announced. HP has had its cool Envy 15 notebook on the market for a while now. The machine is aimed directly at the MacBook Pro. HP has now launched a new limited edition Envy 15 Beats notebook that is aimed at the aspiring DJ or audiophile looking for a notebook with good sound quality.

The machine has specs similar to the other Envy 15 notebooks including quad-core Core i7 CPUs. Two 15.6-inch screen options and an integrated Nightvision webcam. An optional battery provides seven hours of run time per charge.

The HP 2133 Mini Note has been hacked to include a Broadcom HD video accelerator just like what was done to a Samsung NC10 netbook before, letting this little netbook be empowered to handle video playback despite running on a low power VIA C7-M processor that is well known to be less than stellar even when compared to the Intel Atom processor. The FCC has just given their nod of approval to the new HP ENVY line of notebooks, where it does bear a striking resemblance to Apple’s top-of-the-line MacBook Pro notebook.
