Otterbox has released a couple of new protective cases for your HTC Droid Eris phone, adding to their Commuter and Impact series of cases.

OtterBox’s Commuter series case (on the right in the above photo) for the HTC Droid Eris provides 3 layers of protection with a screen protector, silicone mid-layer and a polycarbonate shell. The Impact series, like it sounds, is a little more padded to provide protection from impacts to the device and has a couple layers including a screen protector and molded shell.

Both cases provide full

With all the recent talk about the lawsuit launched by Apple against HTC over patent infringements, it was curious to see when Google would finally actually react – after all, the whole ordeal seems to revolve around the operating system on HTC’s device, the Android.

Google haven’t officially done anything yet, though a spokesperson made a public statement giving a hint of what’s about to happen soon: “We are not a party to this lawsuit. However, we stand behind our Android operating system and

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the HTC Incredible lately, as it kept appearing in all sorts of websites with pictures, specifications and other bits and pieces of information. It was known for a while that Verizon would be carrying it, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that it’s now in their inventory list.

The release date hasn’t been set yet, though showing up in the inventory surely means that it can’t be that far away. History is a good proof of this rule, as in the past various devices

We always knew that the HTC Incredible will be hopping on to the Verizon Wireless network. Wait a minute. Did we have any confirmation on that? Not until now. Though it comes in the form of a shot of the Verizon Wireless inventory system, we are now sure the HTC Incredible would get going on the Verizon network.

So what we get to see is the inventory system listing shows SKU ARD6300VW, which clearly defines the presence of the HTC Incredible soon to come on Verizon. This in fact endorses earlier belief that the CDMA-equipped

Apple has announced that it is filing a lawsuit against HTC over the alleged infringement of about 20 patents that cover critical aspects of touch phones, like hardware, software and touch-display control. Some question whether the lawsuit is actually meant to send Google a message. But maybe it’s against the entire smartphone industry and it’s just Apple showing their teeth.

Apple should probably be more worried about Microsoft and its Windows Phone 7 Series since it has such a nice user interface and all. Basically it’s just

Google’s Nexus One Android smartphone entered the market with support for T-Mobile’s 3G network. A version compatible with Verizon’s CDMA network as well as Vodafone in Europe was said to be in the works. It wasn’t ready for launch at the time of launch of the current HSPA version. According the earlier announcements, the device was supposed to go on sale in Spring 2010. Now it has come to news that the CDMA Nexus One has cleared the FCC.

Manufacturer HTC, was the one who made the FCC submission for the

Apple seem to have gone on quite the crusade there. It’s only been a few months after they attacked Nokia with lawsuits over 13 of their phone patents, and now they’re at it again, this time getting ready to sue HTC for the very same reasons.

According to Apple, HTC are currently infringing on a total of 20 patents registered by Apple, mostly covering the iPhone’s user interface, internal design and hardware specifications.

Steve Jobs’s statement made it more than clear that the company is

HTC gave a slight hint at the possibility of a Windows Phone 7 update for their HTC HD2, but this all fell apart now as Microsoft denied this. The reason they’ve given is rather odd – the device apparently has too many buttons.

Of course, completely unexpectedly, the device meets Microsoft’s requirements for the update in terms of hardware with its 1GHz Qualcomm CPU, but the problem is that Windows Phone 7 requires three buttons on the device, while the HD2 has five, which completely rules out an OS

Controlling your TV from your phone isn't a new concept, but Verizon just made it a bit sexier. Verizon FiOS owners this week can nab a new FiOS Mobile Remote app for their Motorola Droid or HTC Imagio. The application emulates regular remote buttons, but also tosses in an icon-based favorites view of channels, in addition to an ability to sling photos from the phone to the big screen. The phone hooks into your FiOS box over your local WiFi, and requires you to download a widget for the set top box as well to get everything synced up. We're not exactly sure why this is
