| No one seemed to know exactly what Apple intended to do with Lala after it bought the company, but now it looks like Apple may be looking to use it for an online locker for users’ music. Where users will be able to access collections anywhere, through a web browser, or through the iPhone, Apple tablet etc. Everything would be stored in the cloud, so users could free up memory on their devices. Since customers already own the music, Apple won’t need to renegotiate with labels to get sharing rights. Microsoft has a similar service, but it’s

Here’s a theme for those of you with jailbroken iPhones who at the same time dig Avatar. The still highly-popular movie got the unofficial video theme. And by video theme, I mean animate wallpapers, featuring quite a few scenes from the blockbuster. I doubt the Avatar theme is worth jailbreaking and I wonder for how long it will be available for download, since I doubt any licensing

| Lackluster sales and Apple’s iPhone generally don’t go in the same sentence, but if reports online are accurate, the (official) iPhone isn’t doing too well in China. Apparently Taobao.com, the only site aside from China Unicom where customers can purchase official iPhone handsets, sold a total of 5 iPhones in the period of 2 weeks. Some folks attribute this the lack of Wi-Fi on the official iPhone in China, not to mention the fact that the iPhone can be purchased on the gray market in Hong Kong

| Alarm clocks that will dock and charge your iPod or iPhone are great. That way you can wake to your favorite music rather than whatever happens to be on the radio. The average docking alarm clock can only charge one device. iHome has unveiled its new iP88 dual Dock Radio & Alarm System for iPhone. The device has a pair of docks on the top that can charge the iPhone and any dockable iPod. It can wake you to iPod music, AM/FM radio or a buzzer. The user can

In fact, the European Commission also tipped Apple off that they might ban the iPhone from the European market if the handset is proved to be dangerous to users' health. Apple has yet to respond officially to these allegations, but if the ban were to be enforced, you might want to get rid of your Apple stock - fast.

If you jailbreak your iPhone then you'll be part of the movement that Apple considers could bring down mobile networks as well as the "facilitation of drug dealers" reports Ars Technica. Rather than, you know, just letting you install anything you want to on your phone. The report details the slightly wild accusation from Apple, which noted down its bizarre claims in a response to a proposed DMCA exemption for jailbreaking the iPhone. It says that drug dealers could be helped by the ability to make anonymous calls. It also alleges that

Every second and a half, Apple sells another iPhone. Cupertino today announced its best ever sales and profit figures, outside Christmas quarters, in the company's history. The hardware and software giant reported making about £750 million profit on £5 billion of sales in the third quarter of 2009.
