The experiment has just taken off and the Amazon Appstore for Android users is now live. From the look of things there is some early trouble in getting it up and running smoothly, but that is expected. Probably one of the reasons for the Amazon Appstore going down hours after release is the flooding of people who want to download Angry Birds Rio for free! At least, Amazon would want to think so.
Remember that Apple have already raised an objection to the ‘Appstore’ reference from Amazon and believe that it is a trademark infringement. Obviously, we have not heard the last

With the Mobile World Congress 2011 and the likes of Nintendo 3DS and Sony’s Playstation Phone, there has been plenty of talk about mobile gaming units. But it is still the gaming consoles that form huge chunks of business for these firms. Nintendo admittedly knows that the Wii sales are not too strong currently and they are going to do something about that.
According to EA Games Frank Gibeau, Nintendo Wii 2 will arrive in the latter half of this year and it is going to be launched at E3 2011. That sure is great news for all those who are waiting for the next version of the

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 is now out and available for download and within a short time after launch it has attracted plenty of attention. Mostly the question doing rounds is if the latest version of Internet Explorer will restore some of the lost reputation of Microsoft thanks to the previous editions of IE. The biggest talking point, as it is always with E, is the security features and if it matches the likes of Firefox, Chrome and Opera in that regard.
From early reviews and usage of the IE9 the opinion coming in is that Microsoft has put plenty of work behind it and

How long has it been since the iPad 2 hit the stores? Even if you say that iOS 4.3 was out a couple of days earlier than the launch, it still means that we have a jailbreak in less than a week. As someone who plans on bringing home the iPad 2, we are obviously delighted and even if there is not a downloadable version for us yet, this obviously means the wait will not be too long!
Steve Jobs and Co. at the Apple headquarters will not be too pleased about this though. It seems that the iOS 4.3 jailbreak for Apple iPad 2 required a new shatter exploit as Apple pretty much patched

The HTC Thunderbolt 4G has been a highly-anticipated handset. From being the hot first 4G LTE mobile from Verizon Wireless it has become a mobile that always seems on the brink of release but never makes it to the stores. While those at Verizon might clutch onto straws and argue that they never promised a release date, it seems unfair to take pre-orders and then keep customers waiting endlessly.
At least some sorts of confirmation would be nice, but Verizon seems very hesitant on giving out a date. Every time you check their site, you get the same old “very soon’ line and
