LG Display’s new Capacitive In-Cell Multi-Touch LCD panel has been given the go ahead by Microsoft with a Windows 7 Touch Logo certification. The 13.3-inch panel, that comes across a perfect fit for laptops with multi-touch functions that enable simultaneous recognition of two touch points, has in-cell touch sensor embedded in the display. The sensors have been built into the panel.

Aaron Woodman, the director of consumer experiences for Microsoft’s mobile division, showed off a prototype of LG’s Windows Phone 7 Series phone over at Engadget. We don’t have many details, but we do know that it’s a QWERTY slider that’s just a tad thicker than the iPhone, with a 5MP camera, and six hardware buttons.
Woodman wouldn’t confirm or deny if Windows Phone 7 Series would support Mac OS, but he mentioned that they are currently discussing it at least. A windows phone supporting Mac OS? Maybe. Sounds

LG Display will release the 15EL9500 OLED TV in Europe. This 15-inch OLED TV will be available in the Austrian market in May 2010 for 1.999 Euros. The LG 15EL9500 features a 10.000.000:1 contrast ratio, HD ready resolution (1366 x 768 pixel) and a response time from 0,001ms. We know that you’ve been waiting for LG’s new OLED television, with it’s 3mm-thick display, and you won’t have to wait much longer. It sports a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 0.001ms response time. It’s sexy on the inside and sexy on the outside.
LG has announced that the 15-inch OLED panel will hit Europe this May and the US in the summer. Those with lots of disposable cash can pick it up for €1,999 (or $2,725). It ain’t cheap, but you already knew that.

LG is ready to launch their latest LG Infinia LE8500 that will be available in 42-inch, 47-inch and 55-inch. The Full LED HDTV features cool TruMotion 240Hz and THX Display Certification, NetCast Entertainment Access, DLNA, wireless broadband, two USB ports and wireless support. LG have revealed that they’re expecting to launch a Windows Phone 7 handset sometime between September and November this year, as stated in an interview with Engadget Chinese at a Chinese New Year event.
The information isn’t really new though, as it’s been circulating on the Internet for a while now, albeit in an unofficial form – now it’s just been confirmed by an official source, and this pulls it out of the “rumor” class.

For those who have been watching LG’s activities, here’s some bit of news from a different part of the world. LG’s GW620, which arrived a while earlier, is now doing the rounds in Italy in a different name. Known as LG LinkMe, the original LG GW620 has now been launched in Italy. The smartphone running Android which is giving Italy its first taste of the latest LG innovation, is being sold for €299, which translates to about $405.

Recently, one of LG’s upcoming phones – the LG Arena Max – was leaked, and it appears it’s now going to be released in Korea, named the LG Maxx. It seems to be completely unrelated to the LG Arena that was released in the United States a short time ago.
One of the interesting news here is that this is the first 1GHz smartphones that Koreans are getting to enjoy, which is somewhat curious considering their market. The LG Maxx’s official lineup number will be the LG9400. Sporting a Qualcomm 1GHz

LG’s first Windows Phone 7 handset, which was recently shown off at the Engadget Show, will apparently be called the LG Panther. Silly name, we know, but at least it isn’t the Pink Panther.
The rumored name comes from the UK site Best Mobile Contracts and while we don’t yet know if there is any basis in fact for this, we do know that LG likes weird names. And lets face it, many of you don’t care what it’s called, you just want one.

LG launches the XNote Mini X300 super slim netbook at the CES 2010. At just 17.5mm thick, the new X300 is weighs just 970g, making it one of the slimmest and lightest netbook. With the experience in making the Borderless HDTV, LG brings a 11.6-inch frame-less LCD screen to the netbook.
