Following the success of the DROID RAZR, Verizon Wireless and Motorola is launching the new DROID RAZR HD with a larger display, more powerful performance and greater battery capacity. Like other members in the RAZR family, the new model gets Corning Gorilla Glass, DuPont KEVLAR fiber and water-repellent nanocoating. It is LTE-capable and is global-ready supporting not only Verizon’s LTE and CDMA networks but also also quad-band GSM and quad-band WCDMA/HSDPA networks.

Alongside the mid-range Lumia 820, Nokia also introduces the flagship Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphone. While the Lumia 820 has a 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED, the high-end Lumia 920 gets a bigger 4.5-inch Nokia PureMotion HD+ 1280×768 IPS LCD touchscreen. The display also includes Super Sensitive Touch for glove-on touch, ClearBlack with high brightness mode and Sunlight Readability Enhancements. The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD has been unveiled at the AT&T Developer Summit. Not to be confused with the original Galaxy S II Skyrocket, the new HD model features a large 4.65-inch 1280×720 HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display. Heading to AT&T, the Skyrocket HD supports the carrier’s 4G LTE mobile network for high-speed data.

Verizon and Motorola are launching another DROID smartphone, the Motorola DROID 4, which is the thinnest and most powerful 4G LTE QWERTY smartphone. Like its predecessors (DROID, DROID 2, DROID 3), Motorola’s new Android device packs a QWERTY keyboard in a slim body. The DROID 4 adds support for Verizon’s 4G LTE mobile network for high-speed data.

The quad-core Ascend D quad and Ascend D quad XL are not the only members of the Ascend D line, Huawei is also launching the Ascend D lte, a 4G smartphone. The handset supports LTE 1800/2600/800/2300 4G networks as well as quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band 900/2100 HSPA. Unlike its brother, the LTE model doesn’t get a quad-core CPU, but a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor. There is 1GB RAM.
The Ascend D lte has a 4.5-inch 1280×720 HD touchscreen display, a 12 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video calls.

If you look at LG’s line-up for the MWC 2012, each phone has its own selling point, 3D, NFC, and quad-core. What LG’s Optimus Vu is selling is probably its large 5-inch display that comes in 4:3 aspect ratio, unlike most touchscreen smartphones. The 4:3 5-inch display offers a tablet-like viewing, making makes viewing documents, books, internet and multimedia contents easier and more comfortable. Along with the quad-core Optimus 4X HD and 3D Optimus 3D MAX, LG is also bringing the Optimus LTE Tag to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012, which is built on the Optimus LTE. Featuring a slim and sleek design, the handset comes with built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communication) and supports LG Tag+ (that are acutally also available on 4X HD and 3D MAX). Using the special stickers called Tags, users can change the phone’s settings easily with just a swipe.

ZTE PF200
ZTE is going to show two new LTE 4G mobile phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012, the PF 200 and the N910, both running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with ZTE’s custom UI. The former is powered by a 1.2GHz processor while the N910 sports a 1.5GHz chipset. The PF200 works with LTE, UMTS 3G, and GSM/EDGE mobile networks and the N910 supports LTE FDD and CDMA/EDVO networks.

Verizon has released the Motorola DROID 4, which is the thinnest 4G QWERTY smartphone. Introduced at the CES 2012, the DROID 4 is a 4G LTE mobile phone running Android 2.3.5 operating system. It is available from Verizon Wireless for $199.99 with a new 2-year contract.
