It's the ultimate "why didn't I think of that?" concept, but kudos to Joby for doing more than just keeping a bar story to itself. Following in the footsteps of the magnified Gorillatorch, Joby decided to add a few magnets to the feet of its tried-and-true Gorillapod flexible tripod. The result? It still works without sticking to a surface, of course, if you want to use it that way. But it’s much more versatile with it’s new ability. Expect it to be available in April for all of your odd tripod needs.

It’s magnetic, so it will stick to metal surfaces, keeping it out of the way, but still readily available for your needs. Plus, it looks nice and retro which we love. It will only cost you $27.

Chances are you have something metal nearby to stick it to.
