DFI Tech introduces the new M100, a 1U rack mountable media engine for digital signage applications. The M100 Media Engine is based on DFI’s own mainboard and is equipped with Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor, up to 4GB of memory and choices of graphics cards, including GMA 4500, ATI Radeon HD4550 and NVIDIA Quadro NVS420.

The dfiTech M100 can packs one or two HDTV tuners and an optional slim DVD-ROM. It has a 2.5-inch hard drive. The Media Engine is capable of playback of high-definition video (1080p), DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL2.1. The

AdelaVoice introduces the Lighthouse SQ7, the so-called “world’s first portable Social Media Tablet”. Basically, the SQ7 is built based on SmartQ 7 Internet Tablet from SmartDevices. It boasts an ARM11 667MHz processor, 128MB RAM and 1GB of flash memory.

Active Media has announced a new series of Predator X7 SSDs. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities, these 2.5-inch pocket-sized SSDs are based on MLC NAND flash memory chips and provide read and write speeds of up to 230MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively. Chinese gadget manufactrer Yinlips today announced the availability of Yinlips YDP301 portable media player. The gadget comes jam packed with a large 3-inch screen (400 × 240 pixels) with a 4GB storage space. The YDP301 supports most of multimedia files including MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, AVI, FLV, JPG, BMP, and GIF.
