| Active Media has announced a new series of Predator X7 SSDs. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities, these 2.5-inch pocket-sized SSDs are based on MLC NAND flash memory chips and provide read and write speeds of up to 230MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively. They also feature an 8-channel JM612 controller, a SATA-II 3.0 Gbps interface, a128MB of cache memory and a mini USB 2.0 port. | Chinese gadget manufactrer Yinlips today announced the availability of Yinlips YDP301 portable media player. The gadget comes jam packed with a large 3-inch screen (400 × 240 pixels) with a 4GB storage space. The YDP301 supports most of multimedia files including MP3, WMA, APE, FLAC, AVI, FLV, JPG, BMP, and GIF. | Barco is a global technology company that designs and develops visualization products for a variety of selected professional markets. Today, the company announced that they have teamed up with server technology leader Doremi Cinema in order to release the industry’s first Integrated Media Block (IMB). | The Lissie Q10 portable media player looks pretty sweet with its sleek design, featuring a 3" display that we hope will be OLED for superior image quality. Don't hope for this to jump aboard the touchscreen bandwagon though as the device will rely on a retro dial to control the user interface. | Sigo has rolled out a couple of portable media players - the S40 and S60, where both models are able to offer full High Definition video playback support (1080p) as well as 1080p HDMI output. The Sigo S40 will come with a 4.3" LCD display, while the S60 will benefit from a larger 5" screen. Codecs supported by both models include H.264, VC-1, MPEG2-TS, MPEG4, XviD/DivX, Real 8910, while supported video formats comprise of MKV, TS, MPG, AVI, VOB, RMVB and FLV. There is still no word on price or availability as at press time.
