Remember how mom always had those hand written recipes on 3×5 cards? Well those days are gone. Now mom watches all of those fancy cooking shows on the food network. So it makes sense that Belling’s new Media Chef digital cookbook actually contains 48 cooking instructional videos from chef Brian Turner on its 8-inch screen.
You get an included remote control and the device can also function as a general media player, calendar and photo frame. It will retail for about £170 ($271 US). We don’t know when it will be available

The name makes it sound like it’s small enough for your pocket, but actually this media player from Panasonic Japan features a 9 inch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, along with a CD player, FM radio, an iPod dock and 4GB of internal memory. Not exactly portable.

The Lighthouse SQ7 is described as a Social Media tablet and so will run both Facebook and Twitter. Oddly, it relies mainly on its built-in voice recognition engine to get input from the user. The tablet boasts a 7″ touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, Wi-Fi, and the Samsung ARM S3C6410 667MHz processor.
Oh and 128MB RAM and 1GB of internal memory, all powered by a 4,500 mAH rechargeable battery which will give you up to 5 hours of non-stop use. The Lighthouse SQ7 will ship on October 7th for $249.
It sure looks sexy

Very little is known about the Gemei HD8800 portable media player apart from the fact that it will support RVMB, AVI, FLV and MKV video file formats, outputting them to a HD-capable display through its HDMI port. Available in only one capacity, the 8GB Gemei Hd8800 will retail for approximately €70. Not too shabby if it does come with a built-in memory card slot of sorts to further expand upon the 8GB internal memory.

Intel's latest CE4100 media processor is more or less a system-on-a-chip with a processor and graphics controller crammed onto a single chip that was built using a 45nm process. To sweeten the deal, it was built on the low power Atom processor core, making it the ideal "brain" for set top boxes including cable boxes and Blu-ray players, although it shouldn't see any action in notebooks. Capable of running at clock speeds up to 1.2GHz while featuring FSB speeds of 200MHz to 400MHz while supporting playback of 2
